About Zamenix
Zamenix is Roen Surgical's teleoperated system for retrograde intrarenal surgery used to treat kidney and ureteral stones. A patient-side robot holds a commercial flexible ureteroscope, laser fibre and stone basket while a seated surgeon controls insertion, rotation, deflection and stone retrieval from a console.
Mechanical support stabilises the scope against hand tremor and fatigue and lets the operator work behind radiation shielding. The platform also provides motion recording and replay, guidance against retrieving oversized stones and respiratory-motion compensation to keep the laser aligned as the kidney moves during breathing.
