  • The program was intended to evaluate replacement candidates for the RQ-7 Shadow with runway-independent tactical reconnaissance capability.
  • Griffon entered the competition with its Valiant UAS platform.

Griffon Aerospace designs, manufactures and operates unmanned aircraft systems for defense and government customers, with a long-running aerial-target business and newer tactical UAS programs. Its systems include target drones, Valiant for the U.S. Army FTUAS program, and Arrowhead, a delta-wing UAS configurable for target or one-way-attack roles.
