About Third Wave Automation
Third Wave's shared-autonomy system lets warehouse trucks switch between autonomous work, remote assistance and manual operation. Moves outside the autonomous operating parameters can be routed to a person before the truck attempts them. In its Armada deployment, push-back racking and unusually tall loads were two situations handled through this supervised workflow.
Warehouse-management integration provides directed putaway: the software specifies where each pallet belongs and the truck carries out the assigned move. Armada's Romeoville pilot connected four reach trucks to Blue Yonder, combining that inventory workflow with shared human supervision. Third Wave supplies the vehicles and integration work around this model, adapting deployment to the existing building, racking and pallet flows.
