About
About CarbonSix
CarbonSix develops SigmaKit, an imitation-learning toolkit for teaching industrial robots variable manipulation tasks from human demonstrations. The package combines AI software, interchangeable robot hands, sensors and teaching devices. Operators teleoperate a task repeatedly while the system records images, motion and interaction data, then review the dataset and train a reusable robotic skill.
A glove-based handheld mode captures demonstrations without moving the production robot, separating data collection from deployment. Trained skills can be transferred to additional lines or sites with limited adjustment and are designed to tolerate changes in part pose, shape and appearance. Demonstrated applications include handling thin reflective moving objects and removing deformable appliance filters. CarbonSix targets high-mix manufacturing where fixed programming is brittle and human process knowledge is difficult to encode.
