Bren-Tronics designs and manufactures rechargeable batteries, chargers and portable power systems for defence and other high-reliability applications. Its rugged packs and charging equipment support military robots, uncrewed vehicles, communications and field electronics.
EnerSys completed its acquisition of Bren-Tronics in July 2024 and integrated the business into its Specialty line. Bren-Tronics combines battery-pack engineering, qualification and manufacturing with charging systems built around mission-specific capacity, interface and environmental requirements.

Bren-Tronics entered EnerSys' Specialty business line. The acquired company generated approximately $100 million of 2023 sales and employed about 280 people. The combination added military portable batteries and chargers across the United States, France and United Kingdom.

Bren-Tronics disclosed the award on May 14, 2021. It was the only small business among four awardees on a $1.25 billion indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity program. The compliant wearable battery supports Nett Warrior equipment including IVAS and Next Generation Squad Weapon electronics.
