About ZEALS

ZEALS combines its Omakase robotics software with humanoid platforms for facility and workplace automation. Before introducing its own hardware, the company used Omakase OS on a Unitree G1 in a University of Tsukuba Hospital proof of concept covering autonomous walking, obstacle avoidance, guided navigation and delivery support.

The D1 is ZEALS' compact wheeled humanoid platform and went on sale in Japan in August 2026 from ¥5 million. The company is targeting production of 100 units and 10,000 cumulative operating hours during fiscal 2026 as it moves from third-party robot integration into its own system development.

Events

  • 2026-10-13 - Product Launch - Physical Intelligence opens Pi API beta to more robot developers

Teams can upload their robot data, launch fine-tuning on PI-managed compute and infrastructure, and run the resulting models through hosted inference. Early users include Argon Robotics, which trained a dish-racking policy within 35 hours, and General Instinct, which trained a server-assembly policy within three days. Beta participation is by application; most showcased applications use cloud-hosted inference, with network connectivity identified as an area for improvement.

  • 2026-08-26 - Deployment - ZEALS validates two D1 robots across five hospital workflows

The two D1 units logged 35 combined operating hours from August 26 through August 28 across five hospital workflows. Guidance and lightweight transport used spoken instructions plus camera- and sensor-based navigation; tea preparation and tray handling used the dual arms with teleoperation for safety. ZEALS reported no human contacts or falls within the test scope and will use the operating data to train and evaluate Omakase Zen.

  • 2026-08-05 - Product Launch - ZEALS opens D1 humanoid sales consultations from ¥5 million

D1 measures approximately 129.3 centimetres tall, with a 48-centimetre-wide wheeled base. Design, AI, software, control and assembly are led from Japan using components sourced globally. ZEALS targets production of 100 units and 10,000 cumulative field operating hours during fiscal 2026.
