About D1

D1 is ZEALS' wheeled humanoid for guidance, reception, transport and patrol in hospitals, commercial facilities, logistics centres and factories. A height-adjustable torso sits on a six-wheel differential-drive base, while two seven-axis torque-controlled arms provide joint sensing and brakes for manipulation around people.

The perception suite combines two lidars, head and base depth cameras, fisheye and wrist cameras, ultrasonic sensors and contact detection with NVIDIA Jetson compute. Each arm carries five kilograms, and the robot is rated for eight hours of operation with automatic or manual charging. ZEALS offers the hardware in Japan from ¥5 million, with operating software and support from ¥200,000 per month per robot. Leasing, insurance, maintenance and robot-as-a-service plans are also available.

Timeline

  • ZEALS validates two D1 robots across five hospital workflows

    2026-08-26 - Deployment - The two D1 units logged 35 combined operating hours from August 26 through August 28 across five hospital workflows. Guidance and lightweight transport used spoken instructions plus camera- and sensor-based navigation; tea preparation and tray handling used the dual arms with teleoperation for safety. ZEALS reported no human contacts or falls within the test scope and will use the operating data to train and evaluate Omakase Zen.

  • ZEALS opens D1 humanoid sales consultations from ¥5 million

    2026-08-05 - Product Launch - D1 measures approximately 129.3 centimetres tall, with a 48-centimetre-wide wheeled base. Design, AI, software, control and assembly are led from Japan using components sourced globally. ZEALS targets production of 100 units and 10,000 cumulative field operating hours during fiscal 2026.
