About Tensor

Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, Tensor spent nearly a decade developing an autonomy-first vehicle intended to be owned by individual consumers rather than operated only as a ride-hailing fleet. The company is headquartered in San Jose with additional offices in Barcelona, Singapore and Dubai, and says US, European and Middle Eastern commercialization is planned for 2026.

The Robocar is designed around Level 4 autonomy, redundant sensing and compute, foldable steering controls and an agentic cabin system. Tensor says it develops core AI, sensors, software and hardware in-house while integrating external compute layers from Arm and NVIDIA. Korthos classifies the company as an automotive robot builder because the finished vehicle platform—not a fleet service or generic AI model—is the primary economic product.
