About ZeroUSV
ZeroUSV develops fully autonomous uncrewed surface vessels for persistent offshore work. Its Oceanus12 and Oceanus17 platforms combine hybrid propulsion, long endurance, remote supervision and modular payload areas for defence, maritime security, hydrographic survey, ocean science and logistics missions.
Oceanus12 is designed around a 40-foot ISO transport footprint and carries up to 1,000 kg on its aft payload deck. The platform has demonstrated autonomous deployment of subsea gliders and smaller surface drones, while ZeroUSV operates from Plymouth with marine engineering, vessel-building, software and offshore-operations capabilities.

The UK Defence Innovation-backed programme is led by ZeroUSV with Oshen and MarineAI. MarineAI’s GuardianAI autonomy suite coordinated Oceanus12 and the C-Star vehicles with minimal operator input. The two C-Stars were configured for acoustic-data collection; the next planned phase would deploy four vehicles simultaneously.
