About Neugart
Neugart’s gearing spans inline and right-angle layouts, precision servo gearboxes and dedicated NDF/NDFC units for delta robots. Its matched gearbox, preassembled pinion and rack combinations turn motor rotation into controlled linear movement. The product range lets machine designers select the mechanical transmission around the axis layout and positioning requirements.
The Neugart Calculation Program supports the next engineering step: sizing a complete drive train from application data and comparing motor–gearbox combinations. It covers mechanisms such as rack drives, spindles, belts, conveyors and rotary tables, alongside configuration tools, CAD downloads and application engineering.

The module combines a precision gearbox, motor, power electronics, encoder and safety functions. Neugart reports torque density of up to 200 Nm/kg. The modular platform is already used in pilot projects for knee, shoulder and wrist joints.

The gearbox retains a standard torsional-backlash limit below one arcminute. Its output ratio is i=5.5 and the design uses a low-inertia input clamping system for fast reversals. Food-grade oil, a stainless-steel output shaft and a nickel-plated output flange are available as options.

Alva and Neugart announced an integrated drive-unit collaboration pairing Neugart NGV gearboxes with Alva SlimTorq frameless motors for AGVs and mobile robotic platforms. The companies presented the concept around compact high-torque wheel-drive units with load capacity above one ton per drive wheel. The partnership extended Alva's product story from standalone frameless motors into more complete mobility-drive assemblies for robotics applications.

The 7,000-square-metre facility represents an investment of more than EUR25 million. Construction began in late July 2023 and took 20 months. Machinery relocation and commissioning were due to begin on March 10, following completion of the building.

The NDF uses an inertia-reduced input clamping system to support rapid direction changes. Standard torsional backlash is limited to less than one arcminute. The i=5.5 output ratio is paired with optional food-grade lubrication, stainless-steel shaft and nickel-plated flange configurations.
