About Sumitomo Drive Technologies
Sumitomo Drive Technologies develops gear drives, geared motors and precision motion-control products for industrial automation. Its motion portfolio includes Fine Cyclo zero- or low-backlash drives and servo planetary gearboxes used in handling, robotics, packaging, materials handling and machine tools.
The product families cover different reduction ratios, torque ranges, output arrangements and backlash classes. Robot-joint or positioner performance therefore depends on the selected drive, bearing arrangement, duty cycle and integration.

The F4C-B version includes an integrated main bearing, while FC-B is a kit for custom machine integration; each comes in four sizes. The single-stage series offers reduction ratios from 29:1 to 179:1 and outside diameters of 120–231 mm. Specified acceleration torque spans 417–4,000 Nm, with emergency-stop peak torque up to 8,000 Nm.
