About
About Dawn Aerospace
Dawn Aerospace works across two linked transportation layers: reusable runway-launched spaceplanes and in-space propulsion. Its satellite business supplies turnkey propulsion systems, thrusters and control hardware used for orbit raising, station keeping and manoeuvring, while the Aurora programme tests high-frequency suborbital flight.
Founded in 2017, the company operates teams in the Netherlands, New Zealand, France, the United States and Germany. Its propulsion hardware has accumulated flight heritage across dozens of satellites; newer contracts extend SatDrive into autonomous rendezvous and docking, where responsive thrust and precise control are part of the robotic servicing stack.

Events
- 2026-09-30 - Partnership - Dawn Aerospace completes CNES refuellable-spacecraft study
The assessment covered two reference spacecraft platforms, including architecture, operating scenarios and economic viability. Dawn contributed its DFT interface, combining mechanical docking and propellant transfer in a single port. The work produced initial system-level requirements and integration concepts for chemical and electric propulsion.

The expansion builds on collaboration with German partners including Zentrum für Telematik. Dawn is recruiting business-development staff to support multi-stakeholder sovereign space programmes.
Source - 2026-09-09 - Commercial Order - Aule Space signs binding SatDrive hardware contract with Dawn Aerospace
The agreement converts the companies’ earlier memorandum into a binding hardware contract. Aule’s spacecraft is intended to dock with a passive satellite that provides no cooperative docking interface or active rendezvous assistance. Dawn will deliver a nitrous-oxide-and-propene propulsion system ahead of the planned demonstration mission.

The agreement covers up to 100 flights over two years at Oklahoma’s Infinity One Spaceport operations site. The programme will test materials and semiconductor manufacturing hardware before longer-duration orbital missions. Aurora’s stated four-hour turnaround is intended to support repeated hardware iterations within a day.
