Harmonic Winbel was founded in June 1994 and operates from Komagane, Nagano. The company develops, industrializes and manufactures custom motors, with work spanning electromagnetic and mechanical design, prototyping, evaluation tooling and volume-production support. Its engineering is used in compact, flat and hollow precision-motion configurations.
Harmonic Drive Systems made the business a wholly owned subsidiary in 2021 and renamed Winbel Co., Ltd. as Harmonic Winbel Inc. in April 2023. The parent states that Winbel technology is used across group products and contributes to flat, hollow and high-precision actuators. The existing manufacturing-service edge is therefore retained at its exact cited group scope rather than generalized to unrelated customers.
