Events
- 2026-10-05 - Partnership - Orbital Robotics and Arkisys plan ISS autonomous-arm demonstrations for 2027
Astronauts will install the arms on a NASA Astrobee to capture a second Astrobee and replace a compute module. Orbital is funding the programme, with Arkisys providing integration and platform support through its NASA Space Act Agreement. Three demonstrations are planned roughly a month apart, after which the arms will remain aboard for further experiments.
Source - 2025-12-16 - Demonstration - Arkisys supports successful Astrobee technical rehearsal aboard the ISS
A 12 December ground test at USC checked JAXA’s demonstration software using a two-dimensional simulated-weightlessness setup. During the 16 December ISS rehearsal, Astrobee flew inside Kibo while Int-Ball2 monitored its flight.
Source - 2025-12-08 - Demonstration - Arkisys test facility validates Enduralock OneLink docking prototype
The female connector was mounted on a Port prototype and the male half on a Motiv Space Systems robotic arm. The campaign used simulated orbital dynamics; future Cutter and Port flights remain scheduled missions.
Source - 2025-12-03 - Partnership - Arkisys signs Space BD MOU for Port technology demonstrations on ISS
Space BD will provide engineering, payload integration and coordination with JAXA and NASA. Launch facilitation and component procurement are included in the proposed demonstration support.
Source - 2025-11-07 - Partnership - Arkisys and USC sign MOU to expand Astrobee space research
USC is an initial collaborator in the regional research effort built around the Astrobee testbed. The original NASA proposal included support from faculty at seven other universities.
Source - 2025-09-24 - Partnership - Arkisys takes on NASA Astrobee support through an unfunded Space Act Agreement
Arkisys will continue enabling partners to conduct technology experiments in the station’s microgravity environment. The platform comprises Bumble, Honey and Queen, together with control software and a recharging dock.
Source - 2025-06-16 - Partnership - Arkisys and iBOSS join forces on student payload modules for the Port
Student teams receive a 3D-printable locker design for payload transport and robotic handling. The 2025–2026 programme includes planned prizes at a spring showcase and access to connectable interface concepts.
Source - 2024-11-13 - Contract Award - Arkisys wins SDA SBIR Phase 2 work on constellation servicing concepts
Prototype demonstrations in the company’s 1G testbed will check payload-to-bus connectivity. The effort extends a separate short-term study of commercial deorbit augmentation and pricing.
