About Assured Robot Intelligence
Before its May 2026 acquisition by Meta, Assured Robot Intelligence developed foundation models intended to help humanoid robots learn whole-body behaviour from video and physical-interaction data. Its programme focused on robot control, adaptation and generalisation in complex human environments.
Meta moved ARI's team and co-founders Lerrel Pinto and Xiaolong Wang into Meta Superintelligence Labs. The standalone company now operates as an acquired robotics-AI team rather than an independent vendor, while its prior work contributes robot-learning and control expertise to Meta's humanoid programme.
