About CapSen Robotics
CapSen Robotics develops perception and motion-planning software for industrial robot workcells. Its CapSen PiC platform processes 3D camera data to identify objects, estimate poses, select reachable grasps and calculate collision-free robot motion. The software is used for bin picking, machine tending, kitting and packaging tasks where parts arrive with variable poses and no fixed fixture pattern.
CapSen PiC integrates with industrial arms, grippers and 3D cameras from multiple vendors, allowing integrators to build cells around the required payload and workspace. Demonstrated configurations include pharmaceutical bin picking with an Orbbec Astra 2 and FANUC LR Mate, plus medical kitting using Zivid 3D vision. CapSen supplies the perception and planning layer within those cells; the robot, camera, end effector and safety system remain separately selected workcell components.
