About Oxford Vision & Sensor Technology
Oxford Vision & Sensor Technology combines camera hardware and software to measure workpieces and send positioning corrections to robots. Its Glazer system calculates translational and rotational offsets in six degrees of freedom, including for automotive glass insertion. Measurements can use features such as tooling holes or body-panel curvature, connecting the observed vehicle position to the motion needed for assembly.
The company develops both sides of the vision system in-house and configures them for the application. Its broader range covers seam tracking, dimensional inspection and checks on sealant beads, gaps and surface defects. Systems can include cloud-based data collection and analysis, linking inspection results to production records. OVST also provides installation, commissioning and training for customers putting these measurement systems into a manufacturing line.
