Cogniteam
About
About Cogniteam
Cogniteam develops software for deploying, controlling and managing fleets of robots and edge-AI devices. Nimbus provides cloud or on-premise fleet management, remote monitoring, application deployment and over-the-air updates across heterogeneous hardware.
Teams use the platform to provision robots, manage software versions, inspect telemetry and operate distributed systems without building a complete backend for each project. Cogniteam also develops AI analytics and integration around sensors; its software works with Innoviz lidar in Drive Group's Barak LightGuard security system. The company supplies development tools, deployment engineering and continuing operational support.

Events
- 2026-07-07 - Partnership - Innoviz and Cogniteam launch LiDAR-powered Counter-UAS classification module
Innoviz and Cogniteam launched a LiDAR-powered Counter-UAS classification module for advanced security platforms. The module uses 3D morphology, motion and flight-behavior signatures to reduce false alarms in complex environments. Target deployments include perimeter protection, critical infrastructure and border surveillance.
Source - 2026-06-23 - Partnership - Drive Group and Innoviz sign Barak LightGuard LiDAR integration deal
Drive Group issued an upfront purchase order for InnovizSMART units. The companies set a stated Barak LightGuard sales target of $20 million by the end of 2027. Barak LightGuard was developed by Barak 555 and combines Innoviz LiDAR with Cogniteam software.
Source - 2022-08-01 - Partnership - AAEON and Cogniteam integrate Nimbus with robotics hardware
AAEON and Cogniteam paired AAEON edge-computing hardware with Cogniteam's Nimbus drag-and-drop robotics platform. The integration was designed to reduce the engineering work required to connect sensors, actuators and software in new robots. Developers could select supported AAEON systems and use Nimbus for simulation, deployment and fleet management.
Source - 2022-05-09 - Funding - Cogniteam raises $5.6M Series A for Nimbus
Seabarn Management, Andrew Owens and Panthera investor-group members participated. The round backed the Cogniteam low-code platform for managing autonomous robot development. The capital supports commercial automation and autonomous-system workflows as Cogniteam moves from product development toward broader commercial use.
Source - 2022-05-09 - Partnership - Cogniteam co-leads human-robot interaction consortium
The consortium focused on human-robot interaction across robotics research and commercialization. The award expanded the Cogniteam role beyond Nimbus tooling into formal robotics R&D coordination. The partnership connects the company to a named customer, supplier, platform or go-to-market channel.
Source - 2021-10-14 - Product Launch - Cogniteam releases Nimbus cloud robotics OS
Nimbus targeted ROS-based robot development with cloud workflows for design, management and deployment. The launch positioned Cogniteam around low-code robotics software rather than robot hardware. The product gives Cogniteam a concrete offering for commercial automation and autonomous-system workflows.
