Copley Controls develops panel, module and rugged servo drives for precision machines and mobile robots. Copley drives close current, velocity and position loops for brushless and brushed motors across distributed motion networks. The Analogic business supports semiconductor, medical, aerospace, industrial and mobile-robot systems with configuration software, manuals, datasheets and application engineering.
Its current documentation covers product selection, system integration and support for machine oems, with applications and configuration limits tied to the relevant hardware or software family.

The Nano drive release targeted space-constrained mobile robots and other embedded motion systems. The product family extended Copley Controls servo-drive coverage for AMR, AGV and robotic motion-control designs.

Analogic announced completion of the acquisition on April 15, 2008. The final cash consideration was $76.875 million including a working-capital adjustment. The deal folded Copley's precision motion-control products into Analogic.

Analogic announced the agreement on March 6, 2008. The purchase price was approximately $68.75 million in cash plus a tax-related reimbursement. Copley was expected to become a wholly owned subsidiary after closing.
