About Dane Technologies
Dane Technologies designs and manufactures autonomous mobile robots and powered transport equipment for retailers, distribution centres, factories, healthcare facilities and transport operators. Founded in 1996, the Minnesota company developed the QuicKART shopping-cart retrieval system before expanding into inventory scanning, autonomous towing and internal delivery. Its AiR robots combine mobile scanning hardware with Brain Corp's BrainOS autonomy software; the distribution-centre model uses Cognex barcode readers to capture warehouse inventory.
The portfolio also includes the camera-guided VGV tug, AutoDelivery robots and PowerPal powered carts. Dane supplies site assessment, operator training, rollout support, parts and service alongside its equipment. Its warehouse and retail inventory robots serve different scanning environments, while the AiR DC Freezer Package extends warehouse inventory work to sub-zero facilities. The freezer configuration became commercially available in February 2026, with deployment underway at an unnamed US food distributor.
