About Gopher Motion
Gopher Motion is developing a compact autonomous mobile robot for urban last-mile delivery. The vehicle is designed to carry grocery, prepared-food and consumer orders weighing less than five pounds, travelling across a combination of streets and pavements at speeds up to 20 miles per hour.
Its prototype architecture combines local mapping and obstacle sensors with GPS, cellular communications and onboard compute. The hybrid operating domain is intended to extend practical delivery range while retaining access to building entrances and pedestrian routes. The Boston company emerged from the 2024 MassRobotics Accelerator and remains an early-stage development programme without a public commercial fleet.
