About Impact Build
Impact Build turns excavated soil, quarry fines and other mineral residues into prefabricated wall elements through robotic compaction and extrusion. Material blends can contain 75 to 80 percent secondary construction-site matter, forming dense, fire-resistant components with thermal mass and acoustic properties comparable to masonry. Wire cutting and milling add openings, textures and finished geometry without disposable moulds or formwork.
CAD-compatible software converts designs into robot paths, production data and cost estimates, while machine vision monitors changing material condition for adaptive control and quality checks. The upgraded process has demonstrated 1.9 cubic metres per hour of extrusion, with an operational construction target near 1.1 cubic metres per hour. Impact Build currently operates a prototype factory for product development and pilots, plans a first Swiss production site, and expects deployable near-site factory units from late 2026.
