About Kymeta

Kymeta builds flat-panel satellite terminals and connectivity services for moving vehicles, vessels and remote installations. Its electronically steered antennas use a metamaterial aperture with no moving parts. Terminal families combine satellite and cellular links, with configurations for land, maritime and government users. Network switching and the Kymeta Access management system help operators maintain and manage communications across changing coverage conditions.

The company sells equipment and service bundles directly and through authorised partners. Its work with Red Cat’s Blue Ops division targets integration into the Variant 7 uncrewed surface vessel, supporting communications during autonomous maritime operations. A separate U.S. Department of Defense development contract adds edge computing, software-defined radio and networking to an Osprey u8 cartridge. That development programme is distinct from Kymeta’s existing commercial terminal shipments. Founded in 2012, Kymeta is privately held and headquartered in Redmond, Washington.
