About
About Lincoln Electric
Lincoln Electric supplies welding and cutting technology alongside robotic automation systems and integration services. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the group combines power electronics, welding consumables, process expertise, sensing and automation controls. Its industrial automation offering serves manufacturers working on joining, material handling, assembly and related production tasks. The company traces its operating history to 1895; the present holding-company structure was adopted in 1998.
Its Cooper welding cobots package robotic motion with welding equipment and operator software. The XpertLINC platform, launched initially on Cooper in October 2026, extends this approach by scanning actual joint geometry and coordinating robot paths with welding parameters inside a customer-approved procedure. It adapts to part variation and can flag conditions outside the process window for review. Lincoln Electric’s robotics business sits within a diversified industrial group whose wider portfolio also includes manual welding equipment, filler metals, cutting systems and manufacturing services.
