About Maple Aviation

Maple Aviation designs and operates electric cargo aircraft for urgent healthcare transport. Its Maple Octave system carries blood samples, laboratory specimens, tissue and pharmaceuticals directly between clinics, laboratories and hospitals. Standardised transport boxes attach to a window-mounted adapter; after a delivery is ordered through an app, the aircraft docks to the box, flies autonomously and deposits it at the destination.

Octave is specified for payloads up to 10 kilograms and 50 litres, with a 70-kilometre range and 90-kilometre-per-hour cruise speed. Redundant flight controls and certification work support operations over populated areas, while the window interface avoids a conventional ground landing site at each hospital. Maple's model is an operated transport service charged per movement rather than a drone sale. The Munich-area company works with German hospitals, laboratories and ESA as it develops repeatable point-to-point medical routes.
