About Avion
Avion is developing a medical logistics service that connects remote clinics with urban laboratories, pharmacies and supply centres. Healthcare staff use its digital platform to order medicines or schedule collection of clinical samples, and the system assigns a route and dispatches an electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft. Shipment status and communication with laboratory or pharmacy staff remain visible during the journey.
The service is intended for locations where roads make urgent transport slow or unreliable. Vertical takeoff removes the need for a runway at either end, while autonomous routing is designed to support round-the-clock operations and repeatable connections between isolated facilities and larger health networks. Avion combines aircraft operations with the ordering interface and tracking workflow. The company is inviting healthcare partners to demonstrations as it develops the service, and has not announced a certified aircraft model or established route network, placing the programme at an early commercial stage.
