About Nord Modules
Nord Modules makes standard mechanical modules that turn autonomous mobile robot bases into material-handling systems. Quick Movers collect wheeled carts through matching gates, Lift modules pick up pallet racks or platforms, and powered Pallet Movers transfer loads to conveyors. Carts, pick-and-drop stands and storage racks complete the handoff points around a factory or warehouse.
The modules are supplied as tested configurations for AMR brands including MiR, Omron, OTTO, KUKA and Robotize. Available capacities span light cart transport through pallet loads above one tonne, depending on the robot and top module. By standardising the interface between the mobile base and the load, Nord Modules lets integrators automate work-in-progress movement, line replenishment, receiving, staging and dispatch without designing a custom top unit for every project.

- 2026-06-22 - Demonstration - Nord Modules demos Cart Mover on OMRON LD-series robot at Automate 2026
The live demo used Nord Cart Mover on an all-new OMRON LD-series robot in the Automate AMR Demonstration Area. The module lifts two braked cart wheels so carts can move without floor-mounted docking stations. Nord listed a 25 mm module profile, 150 kg lifting capacity and at least 300,000 lifts at maximum payload.

The 25 mm-high module lifts selected wheels on Nord Cart 300-385 without external docking infrastructure. The company specifies a service interval up to 100,000 cycles. Expected life is 300,000 lifts at maximum payload.

PM800, PM1000 and PM1200 address Euro, US and larger pallet formats respectively. Powered rollers transfer pallets between the AMR and loading stations. Wireless conveyor communication and the Nord Dock Target coordinate transfer and docking.

The system automated movement between AutoStore and the factory floor at Danfoss’s Nordborg facility. RoboTool contributed system integration while Nord Modules developed the mobile-robot module. The deployment reduced heavy manual handling and improved use of 860 square metres of production space.

Pallet Mover 1000 on OTTO 1500 supports automated pallet transfer and wireless conveyor communication. EU and North American pallet-lift modules support loads up to 1,500 kg. Quick Mover QM140-OTTO for OTTO 100 was described as forthcoming.
