About Peraso
Peraso is a publicly traded semiconductor company headquartered in San Jose, with Canadian operations in Toronto and Markham. It supplies 60 GHz wireless chipsets, antenna modules, software and intellectual property. Its mmWave business combines RF circuits, signal processing, phased-array antennas, beamforming and calibration. Customers use its technology in fixed wireless access, video links, transportation, defence communications and industrial automation; robotics is one application within that wider connectivity business.
For autonomous systems, Peraso develops directional links that transfer sensor, video and telemetry data between mobile hardware and nearby computing infrastructure. An October 2026 humanoid demonstration reported approximately 500 Mbps uplink and 100 Mbps downlink using local NVIDIA computing and a remote GPU cluster. This was a company-run functional validation. Separate drone communications work includes networking for simulated swarm environments and modules for identification-friend-or-foe systems.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-21 - Demonstration - Peraso validates 60 GHz robot-to-edge AI wireless link
A hybrid computing setup combines a local NVIDIA GPU for time-critical responses with a remote GPU cluster for larger models. The link carries sensor, video, telemetry and operational data; directional beamforming is intended to reduce interference among nearby links.
Source - 2026-08-10 - Product Launch - Peraso introduces PRM2145 communications module for UAVs
Directional beamforming is designed to reduce interception and jamming risks. Intended links carry control commands, video and identification data. The compact module targets airborne platforms with constrained size, weight and power.
Source - 2026-06-10 - Demonstration - Peraso and Virewirx demonstrate simulated drone network above 50 Gbps
The setup combined Peraso 60 GHz wireless semiconductors with Virewirx VX60 networking. Several independent multi-gigabit streams ran simultaneously within a large room. The combined networking approach targets coordination without GPS for autonomous and industrial devices.
Source - 2026-04-14 - Production Milestone - Peraso delivers initial limited 60 GHz module shipment for drone IFF
The solution combines Peraso hardware with software implementing InTACT’s IFF protocol. Battery-operated platforms use reduced size, weight and power, including power-reduction algorithms. Peraso and InTACT developed the hardware and software together over more than two years.
Source - 2025-11-25 - Partnership - Peraso collaborates with Virewirx on robotaxi data links
VX60 targets depot data offload and software downloads during vehicle charging. Virewirx advertised transfer capacity of up to 12 terabytes per vehicle per hour. The PRM2146X-D combines MAC/PHY, PRS1165 radio silicon and a dual-polarization antenna array.
