Qlayers’ tank-coating robot travels around the exterior of a storage tank while a shielded spray head applies paint at a controlled distance and speed. The enclosure captures overspray at the point of application, reducing paint loss and preventing airborne coating from spreading across the surrounding site.
The company applies the same controlled-deposition approach to ships and wind-turbine blades. Its maritime system automates large hull areas, while BL8 creates functional microstructures within blade coatings.
