About
About Renu Robotics
RenuBot is a battery-electric tracked mower designed to travel beneath and around utility-scale solar arrays. RTK positioning, LiDAR and onboard perception allow it to follow planned zones and respond to obstacles without requiring boundary wire. A recharge pod supports automatic return and charging, while the low profile and traction system are designed for uneven vegetation and restricted panel clearance.
Mission Control assigns mowing zones, schedules work and reports fleet and site status to operators. Renu supplies the robots as a vegetation-management service and manages route setup, deployment, fleet operation and support for the solar owner. The company reports more than 100 machines operating in the field and cost reductions of 30–50% in selected programmes.

Events
- 2022-03-08 - Award - Renu Robotics wins $749,971 Air Force award for Renubot
The award began on March 8, 2022 under contract FA8649-22-P-0657 and ran through March 11, 2023. The work applied Renubot autonomous electric mowing to large operational areas and utility-scale solar sites. Renubot combined RTK positioning, LiDAR and cameras for obstacle avoidance, remote management and centimetre-scale positioning.
