SEA-KIT’s X-Class and larger vessels are remotely operated uncrewed surface platforms with configurable payload bays for survey, surveillance and subsea work. Diesel-electric propulsion, satellite communications and onboard autonomy support over-the-horizon missions lasting days or weeks. The vessels can carry sonar, oceanographic instruments and launch-and-recovery equipment for AUVs or ROVs.
G-SAVI command software lets shore-based crews monitor navigation, machinery, sensors and mission activity from a remote operations centre. Customers use the systems for hydrographic survey, offshore inspection, ocean science and defence or security missions without maintaining a full crew at sea. Integrations including Doppler velocity logs improve local navigation and can collect current-profile data alongside the main mission sensors.

Fugro described SEA-KIT as its long-standing partner in uncrewed surface-vessel development. The transaction added SEA-KIT's marine robotics capability to Fugro's remote-operations platform.

The two 12-metre vessels were intended for operations in the North Sea and Asia-Pacific region. Planned equipment included underwater-vehicle launch and recovery systems and station-keeping capabilities. Fugro planned to connect the vessels to its remote operations centres for remotely controlled inspections.

The GEBCO-Nippon Foundation Alumni Team won the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE using the SEA-KIT uncrewed surface vessel. The winning team paired the SEA-KIT USV with cloud-based seafloor mapping technology. The XPRIZE recognized autonomous ocean exploration and rapid seabed visualization capability.
