SMAC Corporation manufactures programmable moving-coil actuators for precision handling, measurement and assembly. Direct-drive mechanisms minimise backlash and moving mass, while encoder feedback lets a machine verify motion and contact during every cycle. SMAC grippers independently control each jaw, and the compact MGR series handles small parts with forces as low as ten grams and one-micron position feedback.
