About Spiral
Spiral develops Inventor, a mobile visual-inspection system, and Roboscope, an augmented-reality tool for registering defects on large industrial parts. Inventor captures training images on standard iPhones, lets a user annotate components on one frame and propagates those labels across the dataset without sending data outside the facility.
On the production floor, operators define an accepted assembly from a correct part and receive real-time pass/fail results with reasons tied to those criteria. Roboscope addresses spatial defect recording for assets such as wind-turbine blades, preserving where damage was found for later review and repair.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-07-08 - Product Launch - Spiral releases Roboscope inspection platform
Roboscope anchors digital defect markers directly to large composite surfaces using iPhone LiDAR. Each record captures defect type, location, dimensions and photographic evidence and can connect to ERP and quality systems. The platform was commercially deployed for wind-turbine blade inspection and offered for aerospace, marine and construction applications.
Source - 2026-06-08 - Product Launch - Spiral launches Inventor for PCB assembly inspection
Spiral said the PCB configuration had shipped since May 2026 and published the launch details on June 8. The iPhone and iPad workflow checks component presence, placement, polarity, markings and reference designators. All image processing runs on the device, keeping inspection frames inside the customer facility.
Source - 2026-06-06 - Deployment - Spiral deploys Microscope counting pilot in India
The pilot was installed in May 2026 for counting finished dart components before packaging. Across seven operating days, Microscope completed 2,486 sessions and counted 317,200 items. Median cycle time was 26 seconds versus a 2.5-minute manual baseline, producing roughly a fivefold speed improvement.
