About SSI SCHAEFER
SSI SCHAEFER develops and integrates material-flow systems for warehouses and distribution centres. Its automation portfolio covers shuttle and crane-based storage, conveyors, sorters, robotic picking and pallet handling, plus automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots for flexible internal transport.
Software is a core system layer rather than a separate add-on. WAMAS modules coordinate inventory and material flow, while the Robot Material Flow Controller uses 3D vision data to direct robot movements in picking applications. Current mobile and goods-to-person offerings include SSI Mobile Robots and RackBot systems that can be introduced incrementally and connected to existing conveyor or software environments. SSI Exyz serves the high-bay storage and retrieval layer.

The unnamed Australian customer will use Hai Robotics rack-climbing warehouse robots. The project is contracted and planned for completion in December; it is not yet an operating deployment. The partners report more than 30 prior joint projects in Europe.
