About Vanar Robots
Vanar Robots is engineering Generation 1 as a human-scale machine for industrial environments built around people, tools and existing infrastructure. The 5-foot-9-inch, roughly 60-kilogram prototype has 38 degrees of freedom, tendon-driven manipulators and proprietary actuators, with its structure, motion hardware, hands and software developed in-house.
Development demonstrations cover opposition-thumb manipulation, material handling, initial locomotion and actuator strength testing. The longer-term system is intended to perceive workspaces, plan physical tasks and coordinate multiple humanoids across engineering, manufacturing and construction rather than execute one fixed automation sequence. Vanar is recruiting select industrial partners for limited beta units and targets its first industrial beta deployment in 2027, so the platform remains pre-commercial development hardware.
