Vanar Gen1
About
About Vanar Gen1
Vanar Generation 1 is Vanar Robots' humanoid platform for industrial work in spaces built around people. The approximately 60-kilogram robot stands five feet nine inches tall and has 38 degrees of freedom. Vanar develops the structure, actuators, tendon-driven manipulators and software in-house, aiming to let the robot use existing tools and workplace infrastructure.
Development demonstrations cover initial locomotion, thumb opposition, package handling and material handling. The programme targets industrial beta deployment in 2027, with limited units intended for selected partners who will help adapt the robot to their working environments. Generation 1 is being developed toward coordinated physical work; partner beta access is the current route into the programme.
