About Voyis
Voyis produces optical sensing systems for underwater vehicles and subsea survey. Insight laser scanners generate metrology-grade 3D models, Observer camera systems collect colour stills and Discovery stereo cameras combine visual inspection with spatial measurement for ROVs and AUVs operating around offshore assets, wrecks and the seabed.
Discovery's Inspection series is used to document structures and measure features, while the Perception series adds real-time 3D vision for piloting awareness and autonomous operation. Voyis packages sensors as integration-ready payloads and provides processing workflows for colour correction, point clouds and survey data. The systems serve offshore energy, defence, marine science and infrastructure programmes where visibility, repeatable geometry and vehicle integration all affect the inspection result.

- 2026-07-02 - Acquisition - Kraken Robotics closes C$615 million Covelya acquisition
The deal brings navigation, positioning, imaging, communications, monitoring and data-analytics capabilities into Kraken. Kraken frames the combined company as a provider of mission-critical subsea intelligence for maritime security and offshore energy. The company also updated 2026 guidance and noted additional product orders since the original March announcement.

The Discovery Perception Series combines wide-angle stereo imaging with onboard processing to generate dense depth maps and live point clouds. Voyis introduced P300 and P3000 models for different depth ratings and subsea platform requirements. The systems support vehicle positioning, manipulator assistance, station keeping and autonomous-control development.

The system is compatible with Voyis Discovery Vision and Observer imaging systems. Deep Vision Optics targets sharper imagery, wider useful field of view and improved depth of field underwater. Voyis positioned the optics to support subsea inspection, photogrammetry, VSLAM and machine-learning workflows.
