WiTricity develops magnetic-resonance wireless charging for electric vehicles, robots and industrial equipment. Power transfers across an air gap between a ground or wall-mounted transmitter and a receiver on the vehicle, allowing charging without exposed contacts or a person connecting a cable.
The technology tolerates positional offset and can be integrated into parking spaces, robot docks and automated work areas. WiTricity licenses designs, reference systems and intellectual property to vehicle, semiconductor and infrastructure partners rather than manufacturing every final charger.
