IRB 5720

IRB 5720 is ABB's six-axis industrial robot family for heavy material handling and production work in automotive and general manufacturing. Its variants span 90–180 kg payloads and 2.6–3.0 m reach, giving integrators a model range for moving large components, tools and assemblies without treating the independent family maxima as one configuration.

The robots use ABB's OmniCore V250XT controller and carry IP67 protection for industrial environments. Position repeatability ranges from 0.04 to 0.05 mm across the family, depending on variant. Floor and inverted mounting options support cell layouts around machines, fixtures and vehicle structures, while the long-arm geometry extends access into large work envelopes.
