About Draganfly Apex

Draganfly Apex is a folding multirotor for surveying, inspection, public safety and government missions. Its February 2025 datasheet specifies a maximum payload of 3 kg and an aircraft weight of 5 kg with batteries. The current product page advertises flight times up to 45 minutes; the dated datasheet gives 40 minutes without a payload and 17 minutes carrying 3 kg. Endurance therefore depends on the installed payload and configuration.

Apex Core and Ultra offer different communications, encryption and compute packages. The current Core configuration lists an 8 km link, 128-bit encryption and Raspberry Pi CM4 compute; Ultra lists a 16 km link, FIPS AES-256 encryption and NVIDIA Jetson Orin. Optional obstacle avoidance and parachute recovery are configuration choices. The Cube autopilot’s Blue UAS certification applies to the component.
