About

About Albatross UAV

Albatross is Applied Aeronautics’ ready-to-fly electric fixed-wing UAS for mapping, surveying, agriculture, environmental monitoring, public safety and research. Its modular fuselage accepts cameras, LiDAR, communications and edge-compute options, with autonomous takeoff, mission execution and landing through a PX4-compatible controller.

The three-metre-span aircraft has a 10-kilogram maximum takeoff weight and carries two to 4.4 kilograms depending on battery configuration. Endurance reaches four hours and operational range exceeds 100 kilometres, while cruise and maximum level speeds are 18 and 40 metres per second. The RTF system is a configured aircraft, distinct from the airframe-only and kit listings.
