Robotic Monorail Loading System

Bastian Solutions’ Robotic Monorail Loading System is an automated cell for placing empty cartons onto overhead case-transport lines in distribution centres. The robot handles multiple box sizes and transfers each case into the monorail carrier, removing a repetitive loading step from the carton-flow process while preserving compatibility with varied shipping-container formats.

The system is designed to integrate with an existing case erector and overhead monorail conveyor, creating a continuous route from carton forming to elevated transport. Moving empty cases overhead can free floor area that a conventional conveyor would occupy and keeps ground-level space available for other warehouse activity. The cell is therefore an integration of robotic picking, case presentation and monorail loading, with the end-of-arm tool, carton range and conveyor interface engineered for the specific distribution-centre installation.
