About Bedrock Operator
Bedrock Operator is Bedrock Robotics’ autonomy system for retrofitting existing construction equipment. Its sensing, compute and control hardware enables excavators to perceive their surroundings and perform excavation work without an onboard operator. The system is being used in field deployments; supported tasks and machine integration depend on the installation.
Timeline
- Bedrock starts operator-out excavation on three commercial projects
2026-08-17 - Deployment - Sundt Construction advanced from supervised testing to fully autonomous excavation at a Nevada water-treatment project. Champion Site Prep began fully autonomous excavation on a large earthwork project in Texas. Zachry Construction began using Bedrock-equipped excavators on a 1.2-million-cubic-yard civil-sitework project.
