About RPD 35
RPD 35 is a 144,000 lb autonomous piling system built on a Caterpillar 335 excavator base. A 40,000 lb-force vibratory hammer installs steel piles, while two sleds carry as many as 224 mixed piles for autonomous distribution. RPD 35 handles pile lengths of 9–20 feet, weights up to 1,000 lb and W6, W8 and W10 cross sections.
RTK positioning, inertial sensing and machine vision locate each foundation point and guide the hammer, combining survey, pile distribution, driving and as-built data capture in one sequence. Refusal detection flags piles that exceed the defined threshold and allows the robot to continue through the plan. Built supplies the equipment through a robot-as-a-service model with mobilisation, field support, remote monitoring and an eight-layer safety system.
