IGNIS II
About
About IGNIS II
IGNIS II is an aerial ignition payload built for large multirotor aircraft used in prescribed fire and wildfire operations. Its magazine holds up to 450 delayed-ignition spheres and dispenses as many as 120 per minute, allowing a remote crew to establish burn lines while remaining away from difficult terrain. Reloading takes approximately two to five minutes.
The dispenser weighs 1.83 kilograms empty and about 4.2 kilograms when loaded. Complete integrations were offered for the Freefly Alta X and Inspired Flight IF1200A, with a stated system weight of 24.94 kilograms and 22–30 minutes of flight time. A 640 × 512 thermal camera and full-HD visible camera supported fire monitoring. Drone Amplified now identifies IGNIS II as a legacy system succeeded by IGNIS III products.
