ELS System
About
About ELS System
EndoQuest's Endoluminal Surgical System is a flexible robotic platform under development for minimally invasive procedures through natural orifices or a single incision. Its endoluminal instruments are designed to give surgeons controlled access and dexterity inside the gastrointestinal tract while reducing the external access required for conventional laparoscopic approaches.
The programme targets upper- and lower-gastrointestinal procedures and has progressed through clinical-development placements and evaluations. The system remains investigational: EndoQuest states that it has not received FDA clearance and is not available for commercial sale. This profile therefore records the exact ELS platform as a development product and does not treat proposed clinical uses as cleared indications.
Timeline
- EndoQuest installs first ELS system at Brigham and Women's Hospital
2022-08-31 - Deployment - The placement put EndoQuest's flexible endoluminal robotic system into a named hospital environment rather than only a lab or trade-show setting. The company positioned the installation as a step toward developing scar-free endoluminal procedures and preparing its clinical workflow. Brigham and Women's Hospital served as the initial placement site for surgeon evaluation and procedure-development work.
