About Hull-Cleaning Robot

Fleet Robotics’ 23-kilogram robot attaches to steel hulls with magnetic adhesion reaching approximately 1,200 kilogram-force. Replaceable nylon brushes remove early biofouling without damaging protective coatings, while onboard sensing and navigation let the robot work below the waterline without a power or communication tether.

Units remain aboard the ship and can operate as a coordinated swarm during normal service. A robot covers approximately 400 square metres per hour and runs for three to four hours before charging, while integrated inspection captures hull condition alongside cleaning. The company is deploying the system through early-adopter shipping programmes for recurring port and vessel maintenance.
