Lio

Lio combines an autonomous mobile base with a collaborative arm for assistive work in healthcare and other human-centred environments. Its gripper, display and voice interface support configured transport, guidance and interaction workflows while the mobile platform moves through mapped indoor routes. Applications are tailored to the host organisation and do not imply a universal set of autonomous care duties.

F&P Robotics reports that a Lio installation at University Hospital Basel travelled the equivalent of more than 1,000 kilometres in 217 days while maintaining over 99 percent reliability. The deployment illustrates sustained hospital operation, but clinical and care decisions remain with staff. Integration work covers the selected workflow, building environment, user interaction and support arrangements for the deployed system.
