QT128

QT128 maps the space immediately around vehicles, mobile robots and fixed installations with a 128-channel rotating laser scanner. The sensor covers a complete horizontal circle and 105 degrees vertically, giving perception software visibility into nearby road users and objects that can fall outside the view of longer-range forward sensors. Hesai lists applications spanning robotaxis, trucks, warehouses and stationary systems.

Under the manufacturer's stated test conditions, range reaches 20 metres on a target with ten-percent reflectivity and single-return output reaches 1.152 million points per second. Horizontal and vertical angular resolution are each 0.4 degrees. The housing measures 87 millimetres across and 83.9 millimetres high, weighs 700 grams, and carries IP6K7 and IP6K9K protection. Actual detection quality varies with reflectivity, weather, installation, firmware and perception processing.
