RHP Bex

RHP Bex is Kawasaki Heavy Industries' experimental quadruped platform for exploring mobility and load carriage beyond the company's factory-robot portfolio. The machine can stand and walk on four articulated legs, then lower its body and travel on wheels mounted at the knees. That change of posture trades obstacle-crossing geometry for more efficient movement across suitable level surfaces.

Kawasaki has shown the platform carrying a person and has discussed inspection, harvested-crop transport and movement of building materials as development directions. The stated target payload is 100 kilograms, but the demonstrations do not establish a commercial model specification, production availability or autonomous completion of those proposed jobs. Bex therefore remains a research and development platform whose endurance, terrain limits, sensing, controls and application tooling require exact configuration evidence.
